Abstract:
This paper presents a description and an attempt
of ceramic classification of vessels belonging to five funerary contexts
of the Inca period, that were discovered near Quinta Normal park in
Santiago city, during the construction of Metro’s line 5 extension.
Continuities and innovations of the ceramic production in the Maipo-Mapocho
basin are commented, as well as relationships with neighboring areas.
Finally, ceramic arrangements in the funerary contexts are discussed.
